Updated: Feb 19, 2022

Let’s be honest, having an open conversation is hard! Starting conversations and finding topics to talk about can be intimidating.

This episode Mark and Monica Neubauer discuss how to start a conversation. They know firsthand that having open conversations is an important part of relationships that takes time and practice. Through their personal experiences and stories, the Neubauers share the process it takes to become better at communicating with your family, friends and co-workers.

The Keys to having An Open Conversation:

  • Create a safe space for conversations.

  • Practice makes perfect. “You need to do it to improve it!”

  • Commit to having conversations every day. Start with 15 minutes daily and then increase the time.

  • Draw someone into your conversation with open ended questions. Use the phrase, Tell Me More...

  • Make your conversation fun.

  • Be a good listener.
